London & Quadrant Housing Trust, Warwick

L&Q is a regulated charitable housing association delivering affordable housing across the UK. Their Midlands office, in Warwick, was relocating to a 3-storey stand-alone building. HHD were appointed to prepare the CAT B scheme for their office including reception, staff dining area, meeting rooms, offices and open plan workspace.

 

Our scheme reflected their ethos of sustainable, affordable housing by using natural, sustainable materials and using earthy colours to reflect the building materials used in construction. Feature light fittings were made of terracotta, and slatted oak panelling was used as a wall and ceiling finish. Planting was dominant in the scheme, with planted timber boxes creating screening between the open plan office and breakout areas. The mid-floor storage units had planted tops.
